Hi! I’m Sheri! I’m a wife and mom to 2 beautiful girls. I had them in my 40’s so I had plenty of time to compile long lists of “My kids are never going to…” and “I will  never let my kids…”   Have I stuck to my lists?  Nope, not at all but it’s been fun trying to figure out my version of the perfect parent!  Spending time with my husband and daughters, my parents and sis, my in-laws and entire extended family is my favorite thing to do.  We are blessed to live close to most of our family and I’m so grateful my girls get to see their grandparents almost every single day!  Other things that make me happy include:

• Traveling – everywhere and anywhere!  I love to explore and visit new places.
• Collecting cookbooks.  And dishes.  And cake plates. And vintage Christmas items.  And Fisher Price toys.  And…well, you get the picture!  I collect A LOT!
• Browsing antique stores, flea markets, thrift stores and garage sales.  It’s the reason I have so much of the above!
• Genealogy and family history – I’m passionate about collecting and preserving the stories of my ancestors.
• Everything and anything from Mary Engelbreit
• Trying new restaurants and sampling food from other countries
• Nebraska- I was born and raised there and even though I live in Arizona now, Nebraska will always be home and I will always be a small town girl living in the city.
• Pinterest – It’s like getting an issue of Taste of Home, Martha Stewart Living, Better Homes and Gardens, Family Fun and Flea Market Style in my mailbox EVERY SINGLE DAY!

And I’m Kristen!  I’m a corporate meeting and event planner by day who enjoys cooking, baking and working on DIY projects throughout my house in my free time.  I have always loved coming up with new recipes and have been “dazzling” my family with my creations since I was a kid.  Now I have fun entering recipe contests although I’m still patiently waiting to win the big one!  I’m fortunate to live just a mile from my sister and her family and we enjoy working on projects together whenever we can.  One week we might be planning a party for a friend or family member and the next we are working on a never ending list of home improvements.
