Have you seen the new Donut Shop cereal in the grocery stores? As soon as I saw it I knew immediately what I was going to do with it. My kids love Rice Krispie and other cereal bars and I knew the yummy donut shaped cereal would be a fun addition to our recipe collection! I had planned to make them for my daughter’s t-ball team except we I ate too many and didn’t have enough left for the team. My kids did get to enjoy a couple and they were a hit! If you enjoy cereal bars as much as we do, give these Donut Shop Cereal Bars a try!

These bars are made just like any other cereal bar. Melt butter then add marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth.
Add in cereal and stir to combine. Be careful not to over-stir so the marshmallow mixture doesn’t get too tough.
Grease a 9″ x 13″ pan and spread cereal in. Coat hands with butter or spray with cooking spray and carefully pat down cereal into the pan. The bars are thin when you use a 9 x 13 pan so if you prefer thicker bars, spread them in a 9″ x 9″ pan instead.
Let cool then cut and serve (and share with your family!)
Ingredients
- 4 T butter, cut into slices
- 1 10 oz package of miniature marshmallows
- 6 c Donut Shop cereal
Instructions
- Melt better in a large pan on medium heat
- Add marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth
- Pour in cereal and stir to combine, being careful not to over-stir
- Spray a 9" x 13" pan with cooking spray
- Spread cereal into pan and press gently with hands that are coated with butter or cooking spray
- Let cool then cut and serve
This cereal also comes in chocolate so you could easily make chocolate Donut Shop bars instead! That’s next on my list after the kids I finish this pan!
