As the wife of a teacher, I know how much teachers and school support staff appreciate thoughtful gifts at the holidays. Because of this, I have always tried to give a small gift to all of our daughters’ teachers and school staff members including the PE teacher, art teacher, music teacher, school nurse, librarian, and principal.  They are often times overlooked during the holidays but the impact they have on a child’s education is so important and they deserve a gift of thanks as well.

While any gift is nice and is always appreciated, I prefer to give gift cards in small amounts. It’s easier than having to shop for multiple gifts and it doesn’t break our Christmas gift-giving budget.  Last year my daughters gave these “Peace, Love and Pizza Night” gift packs. I bought several Little Caesars Pizza gift cards and 2-liter bottles of soda then made a printable for the gift card and attached it to the soda bottle.  Easy-peasy and it cost less than $7 per teacher.  One quick tip, don’t forget to add the tax amount for the pizza onto the gift card so the teacher doesn’t have to pay anything when they go to pick up their pizza.  I had originally planned to buy $5 gift cards until the manager asked if I wanted to include the 39 cent tax on the card.  Brilliant idea, Mr Manager!

Pizza Night Christmas Gift

This gift is so simple and really needs no explaining.  Grab the items listed below, set up a work station, turn on a Christmas movie and get to work.  Bonus points if you can get them done during the first week of December (like I’m going to TRY to do next year!)

  1. Pizza gift card – (Little Caesars, Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, etc.  Don’t forget to add the tax amount onto the card)
  2. Bottle of soda – (7-up, Sprite or Root Beer are safe choices so you don’t have to worry about the Coke/Pepsi debate)
  3. Printable gift tag
  4. Glue dots or double sided tape
  5. Ribbon or twine to tie the gift tag to the soda bottle

Printable Gift Tag

Here’s a PDF that includes 2 gift tags.  I had my daughters sign their names to the bottom of the tag or you can leave that space blank.
